Welcome to the forum.
My name is Angela, and I am your host.

I have spent a good many years wearing many different hats.

I am and always will be an artist first, having won a scholarship early in life for art, but choosing my love for music instead. I spent a couple decades in the music industry, performing, traveling, recording, and then fell into production and promotion, writing articles on the industry and eventually through my love of clothing and fashion (did I mention I am a Clotheshorse lol) owned and ran a Vintage and Designer Resale store in the heart of Hollywood! While claiming art as my first love, I am also a business woman, and have worked in management, publishing, film editing and professional staging, just to name a few of my skills.

MORE ABOUT ME AT THIS ABOUT PAGE

In the time between 1995 and 2012, I made a good living in the publishing, and plr business. I sold hosting, built websites, wrote articles on the music industry, and basically became involved in the media profession.

BUT! Once and artist, always an artist. So somewhere around 2012, I found what they call the PSP crowd. All my drawings and paintings thus far had been on paper, so I found myself drawn (pun intended) to that world, only to find out fairly quickly, it was a world I did not like being in. The reasons are no matter, it simply was not for me.... so I turned away, and thought, how can i go back to "part" of my roots, without going all in, and still make a difference...... AH! creating planners, journals and art and graphics others can resell or use commercially, which finally morphed into CMA. So I set out to combine, my art, my business knowledge thus far, and the resale industry, and here we are....

I'm a misplaced Brit, living in the US. Other than that, just like everyone else, I strive to make a living, learn, and live my life as happily as possible, while attempting to help others do the same.... UNLIKE some others, I don't profess or claim to be an expert, guru, or mentor, and I don't claim I am doing better than I am at this moment in time, nor to have "the Answers" for others to "get rich or quit your jobs"!  I am straight forward about what and who I am, and I speak my mind, sometimes without pulling back the punches. Some may call that opinionated, but I call it realistic, or if you are into cliches, you can refer to it as "calling a spade a spade!"

I have tried a plethora of platforms, software, systems, as well as bought another plethora of software, apps, platforms, and products from a number of marketers, developers AND other artists, and I generally have something to say about all of them, but I usually only verbalize what I really feel folks need to know. That means the good or the bad.

When I get really excited about a vendor or a product, you are going to hear about it, mostly because I might promote it, and understand, I don't promote ANY product lightly! If I do, my whole heart is in it, and I have made some kind of connection with the seller.

Same goes for the "bad eggs" and trust me, there are more of those than you can imagine. I'm not really referring to the occasional product that does not stand up to par, nor the vendor who could have been easier to reach, although these things do matter, but to the unprofessional behaviors of some, whether it be the way they handle a refund request, treat you as a customer, or generally suck as a human being, lol, these are things that everyone needs to learn from, so as to not make those mistakes with your clients and customers. Never forget, THEY ARE the lifeblood of any business you strive to achieve at.

Here, I strive to help others gather in a community to not only learn from, but also teach and share your own expertise. Everyone has something they are 100% at, YES YOU DO! I have built many communities over the years for a number of different niches, including writing, fashion, graphics, and a couple of clients in the music industry, and my goal here is:

1: Get off Facebook, and into a truly private sharing network that is safe from scammers, and hackers, and have complete control over it, as well as my members having more freedom to express themselves.

2: Give people a promotional ground where they can not only have built in sharing features (and more to come) while never having to leave the page or site. Also features that send your posts and shop promos everywhere on auto because of the built in networking features (and the ability to also make them private posts).

3: A place that people who want to learn, teach or share, can do so.
People who have a certain talent and experience they would like to share and teach to others. This can be anything from crafting, such as sewing, crochet,  art, graphics, web design or programming, and numerous other skills, to gardening, cooking, home hobbies into business, and starting online or brick and mortar businesses. The purpose here is to help people with everyday lifestyles and the pursuit of making extra income from their own hobbies and talents.

4: A place for both free and paid learning, an opportunity for those who do not have a lot of money to throw around joining teaching sites (so clinical lol) can make some extra earnings teaching a skill, or those wanting to learn can, for little or no investment.
This is good for, and a benefit to people who would like to gain some reputation as an influencer, writer, teacher, and can help open you up to greater possibilities in your own lives as you help others to grow and succeed in their lives.

Are you sick and tired of your inboxes being stuffed with get rich schemes, and one crappy app after another. How about those giveaways, where every single one has the same gifts as all the others (I always add different gifts to each and every new giveaway, it is not that hard), or worse, you now have 4 emails a day coming in for every one you signed up for. Buy this, click that, side hustles, I'm sorry, in my day a hustle meant one of 2 things, a con, or a very quickly put together project that essentially turned out crap. Why in the world????? and why in the world does everyone follow the freakin leader, no matter how ridiculous they look or sound. AGAIN, call a spade a spade, it's a freakin side JOB or a part time job! No hustle here, just straight ahead truth and honesty.

This website has features that make it highly accessible to search engines, as well as a plethora of share features to many of the well known social feeds. Anyone interested in joining and adding your talents and expertise, or ideas and suggestions are welcome to do so.  Simply join and verify your email at your own inbox, and then log in and follow the directions you will find in your welcome email here on the website.

Hello new friends,
I'm Shawn and I just opened my Etsy shop. I didn't realize how fun it is to make planners, until I got the bright idea to make a couple for Christmas gifts. Wow, I can't stop myself. So many templates so little time. Somebody at the top mentioned they were a Big Bang Theory fan...I'm a big fan as well. It's one of my favorites.
And Angela, you're a Brit...another fascination of mine! Thanks for starting this forum, I already love it.

Hi Shawn, Great to have you here.
Yes Penny is a BBT fan, as well as I, but she is obsessed I think. My tv obsession is Doctor Who, what else would a Brit be obsessed with lol.

Since you are fully activated (meaning you have made your required 1st post) you can now access more forums, so be sure to add your Etsy shop link to the appropriate place.

Hi everyone!

I'm a pretty old woman who has written children's books, a middle grade fantasy/adventure trilogy (still working on the 3rd book) and got into low-content books (planner, journals, workbooks etc.) I prefer making my low-content books from scratch rather than templates, but do use templates for ideas.

I am trying to learn as much as I can about most anything and everything. Life seems so short, these days.

I marvel at the people on here who are moving their lives forward and have already accomplished so much.

I too have worn many hats: secretary, admin assistant, teacher, professor, reading specialist, x-ray tech, and lots of volunteer work for the Red Cross.  Now I'm slowing down, but want to keep going.

I love drawing, painting, reading, writing, playing musical instruments (keyboard, guitar, tenor sax, etc), none of which I do well, but I don't care. My dad used to say;"once a tinker, always a tinker." Smile

I never proved him wrong.

Thanks for letting me join!
Louise

Hi Louise,
Thanks for being here.
If it makes you feel any better, I am pretty darned old too lol.
Your accomplishments are awesome, we can really utilize your knowledge, please do share it, and consider a possible column.

Nothing is ever set in stone here, (or anywhere) things can always be changed, moved, added or removed. I believe the worst sin to creativity is stagnation, and just like you, try to always keep moving, even if it is only through my armchair and mind!   Very Happy

Hi everyone, I'm Shanna Lea. I just started my Etsy shop and learning about printables. I have an author website and have been publishing journals and notebooks on Amazon for 2 years. I homeschooled my kids and raised them on a homestead. Now that they are grown, I'm focusing on writing, publishing, and the Etsy shop. My main focus is Nature and writing. Thanks for adding me to the forum Smile

I am dreaming of becoming a digital nomad and travel the world.
Funny antidote about me.
My dad was born in Boston Mass But Spend 18-years or so in Leeds England.
When I watch British shows on TV, I don't hear the British accent. In fact, I didn't even know he had an accent until I was 17. Of course, I am really close to New York and that's another type of accent altogther,

Hi,

My name is Elisa, I live in Florida.  I have been selling items on eBay and Amazon for some years now.  I started selling some POD items in a 2nd shop on Amazon this past year and also sell on Amazon Merch (I am still a newbie).  I am working on opening an Etsy shop for POD items, and then a separate Etsy shop for Printables.  I also want to start publishing low content books on KDP.  I have a big problem with overthinking everything, so it takes me forever to get anything accomplished.

Hi Elisa,
Thank you for being here.

You sound like me, I have an overactive imagination, and my creative juices sometimes flow so fast that it seems everything gets jammed up on a log and stops the waterfall  lol! so I know what you mean and I sympathize ! One reason I am going to need a contributing staff here.
Anyone who reads this, might that be you?

I had a strange round about childhood as well.
My mother was Italian, and my father a British/Sicilian (oh boy lol) but as gentle as could be.
He was still on ocean duty for awhile after my parents met, had a family cottage home in Isle of White, and was based mostly as a British Merchant Marine on a ship that crossed the pond back and forth delivering and picking up goods. He had also built an entire block of stores in Long Island that he rented to shop owners, so I spent the first about 14 years of my life traveling from one home nest to another, (Britain, New York, Miami, Canada) and finally my parents bought property in Florida in the early 60's and settled in Florida in 1965 for good, until I left home at 17 (yep you read that right)

Hello Stephen,
Welcome to the new forum community. Am thrilled you are here.
It is now 6PM here in the states, and am planning to go do some celebrating,
but look for a whole new "bunch of stuff" after the new year, I have courses, and plenty of free products to load.

Have a happy new year (my home country is about to go haywire celebrating in less than an hour!!)

Hi,
My name is Pam and I have a dropshipping store but want to phase over to digital.  Much easier and will take less of my time (I hope).  Once made, always there. Right?  LOL  I am on the older side of life, also, and I want to build a business that I can leave to my children and grandchildren.  So, I am very serious about this.  I am disables, though, so there are times I have to say No to getting up and moving around and just stay in bed.  But that is getting a little better.  Especially since my 5year old grandson has been staying with me.  He is very energetic and helps me to feel better.

It is nice to meet you all and good luck with your businesses.

Pam

I Pam, so glad to have you here.
You sound similar to me, in many ways.
I also had a physical online store, which sold my own vintage finds and collection, as well as I was dropshipping until the CV19 hit us. I then made a decision to close that part,
and go back to all digital. I am truly to old to risk going out or being in contact with people, and the thought of having to deal with shipping sent me to shaking lol.

It is great you want to leave something of value such as a business behind to your family. It is even greater when you get the support and the excitement from them about your business. Good luck to you as well.

We are just starting here and up until today, I only posted a pre launch invite to folks on my mailing lists (some of them) and my fb group and page. Today however, I posted a call for influencers on my announcement blog https://yourdailyagenda.com which also floated on to Twitter. I am also fairly disabled, and have actually been housebound for years not months, so even tho I started working on the pc in 1994, the last 16 years, that is the ONLY way I can work, as my physical body is simply broken now lmao! I am certainly not the agile person I was 20 years ago, so I fully understand, and this is one reason I seek others like myself to be part of the solution to others here, as in moderators, and others who have an interest in helping others by teaching, etc...

I want all folks that join here, to also feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, tips and articles of their own. No one should worry at this point whether they are posting in the right place or not, posts can always be moved, and sections can always be created if need be, and I am sure they will be needed. The only thing anyone should be aware of, is whether you want what you post to be public or private, so a knowledge of which forums are or are not private is needed. This is something I plan to do soon, either on a faqs type page, or by marking the forum section titles in some way. I will think more on that.
